Constitution and By Laws
Article 3 - MEMBERS

Section 1.
Membership is open to any individual who has an interest in quilts.

Section 2.
Prospective members may attend two (2) meetings before joining, after two (2) meeting dues will be paid to
Membership Chairman.

Section 3.
The annual dues shall be $25.00, payable in advance on or before February 1 of each year. The
Membership Chairman shall notify members thirty days (30) in arrears, and those whose dues are not
paid within 30 days thereafter shall be automatically dropped from membership in the Guild.

Section 4.
Members, who join on or after July 1, shall pay $10.00 annual dues for the balance of the membership year.

Section 5.
Privileges of membership include:

1. The right to cast a vote in the election of officers, the approval of Guild policies, the approval of the budget, and
the amendments of by-laws.

2. A subscription to the newsletter, which shall be mailed the 1st week of each month.

3. The right to hold an office in the organization.

4. The right to attend monthly meetings and to participate in Guild activities on a priority basis and at
membership rates.

5. The right to attend Executive Board meetings as a non-voting member.

6. The opportunity to participate in a Guild sponsored quilting bee.
