Island Quilters Guild
About Us
Galveston Island has been home to the Island Quilters Guild since
1991.
During those years, members have been sharing ideas, skills, and
quilt blocks.
Our guild meetings include speakers, trunk shows, show and tell,
block exchanges, community service sewing, and lots and lots of
friendly quilting energy.
We publish a monthly newsletter, and sponsor a lending library for
members. Our activities include workshops, retreats, bus trips to
the International Quilt Festival in Houston, and an annual auction.
We make and donate quilts to local charities, including Blue Santa,
Rainbow Camp, The Children's Advocacy Center, The Woman's
Crisis Center, UTMB, The Seaborne Challenge Corp's Patriotic
Quilt Project, nursing homes, and others.
Membership fees are $25 yearly. No charge for visitors. Come
